That’s why Green Lake Conference Center partnered with the Lilly Endowment and Kairos University to create unique opportunities for followers of Jesus to explore new ideas and experiment with creative approaches to sharing the Good News.

Two Gatherings in 2025

Exploring Gen Z and Preaching

Dates: June 16 - 20, 2025

Theme: Exploring Gen Z and Preaching

Description: Through interactive sessions facilitated by experts in generational theory and formational preaching, we will explore the connection between generational dynamics and preaching.

Unique Aspects: Childcare will be provided for families who would like to attend. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to interact with members of Gen Z as they explore the topic.

Tentative Schedule: We will begin with dinner on June 16 and end with breakfast on June 20. June 17, 18, and 19 will include 1) immersive worship sessions that are led by Gen Z and connected to Green Lake’s Quest ministry, 2) sessions on generational theory and preaching in the morning and afternoon, 3) time for recreation, and 4) facilitated “crucial conversations” the allow participants to explore what they are hearing and experiencing.

Cost: The price per person is based on your preferred accommodations. If you’d like to stay in a hotel room, it will be $200 per person. However, if a space that is more like a dorm room works for you, then the price will be $50 per person. In either case, the price includes all food and lodging.

Creativity in Preaching Lab

Dates: August 11 - 15, 2025

Theme: Creativity in Preaching Lab

Description: By creating space for pastors to safely explore alternative approaches to preaching, this gathering will create a unique opportunity to be exposed to new ideas and learn from other preachers. In addition, the team of facilitators will lead discussions on preaching and offer insights to emerging methods.

Unique Aspects: Each participant will have an opportunity to experiment with an alternative approach to preaching and receive guided feedback from peers.

Tentative Schedule: We will begin with dinner on August 11 and end with breakfast on August 15. August 12, 13, and 14 will include 1) worship, 2) facilitated discussions on preaching, 3) time for recreation, and 4) opportunities for participants to experiment with alternative approaches to preaching in a safe place.

Cost: The price per person is based on your preferred accommodations. If you’d like to stay in a hotel room, it will be $200 per person. However, if a space that is more like a dorm room works for you, then the price will be $50 per person. In either case, the price includes all food and lodging.
